I'm Bogi and I've been involved in the Experience Warehouse since September 2023. I started as a volunteer, then I moved to an internship and now I work as a Mentor in the workshop. As a volunteer I fell in love with the school, I wanted to contribute as much as possible to the operation, that's why I applied for an internship. As an intern, I really enjoyed all the behind-the-scenes tasks and now I can help even more behind the scenes. What I like about the apprenticeship is that we are open to everything and we implement lots of innovative ideas! Everyone's ideas and feedback are welcome! What I like about my job is that I can carry out my tasks in an accepting, open community. If I have any questions I get help straight away. I also feel free to let my creativity flow. Any ideas I have I am happy to throw into the community because I know they will be welcomed with open arms. Besides the background work, my favourite part is spending time with the kids. I love connecting with them while learning and of course playing afterwards. It's also a time when I can bring out my childish side. Outside of teaching, I am currently studying psychology at university. And in my free time I like to spend time with friends, crochet and read.

I'm Anna, a sociology student. In 2020, I joined the Experience Centre as a volunteer, and from September 2024, I will be part of the organisation as a staff member. I believe that the children who come here are given a supportive community where they can express their opinions, equality and child-centred thinking, among other things.

It's great to see that the children think of the Experience House more as one big family and love to spend their afternoons here after school. I couldn't look at the school in a different way, as I get to work with a great team in a great atmosphere, which helps me to stay motivated. With the mentors, we do a lot of things in the background, but somehow I like the part of the day when we play, learn, talk or connect with the children in some way. When it happens that I go on an extracurricular activity with the kids, we get to talk a lot and it's great to see how a ride, a trip or an activity outside of the school gives them so many good memories that they will reminisce about months later.

I graduated in Social Studies at PTE, then started and left the Master's programme in Social Policy. Over the years, I have worked in many places: in hospitality at home and abroad, mainly with children in the social sector, in the project world and in civil life, and it would be difficult to list the places where I have volunteered. Fortunately, my frequent job changes did not cause the Experience House team to have any doubts when they saw my CV in the spring of 2023. Since then, I've been a part-time mentor, and my latest experience is coordinating our new internship programme. It's a great feeling to be part of the team, I've never worked in such an open, inclusive and evolving environment before, and I feel like I'm finally in a really good place to spend my working hours.

I'm Bara, a psychologist, currently pursuing my doctoral studies, while training to become a family therapist.I started volunteering at the Experience Workshop in March 2024, and since September I have been a mentor in the life of the organisation. I had never thought I would work with children before, but when I first heard about the Experience Bar, I knew I wanted to be a part of what they do. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline with my application at the time, but six months later I was able to join the team and my hunch was right, because it was well worth the wait! Every week since then, I look forward to going back to Tancsi, soaking up the family atmosphere and finding out what has happened to which child since we last met. What I love most about spending time with them is when they can get lost in a game or activity. As well as trying to give the children as many different experiences as possible, I feel that I get a lot from them and I am constantly learning from them, not only about working with children, but also about myself. At the Experience Warehouse, I have found a safe, supportive environment where I can ask questions with the children, step out of my comfort zone, grow and at the same time, for a few hours a week, give space to the child in me.

I'm Esther, I started as a volunteer at the Experience Warehouse in March 2024 and since September 2024 I've been working as a mentor. I have always felt comfortable around children, but it was only at the end of my BA in Psychology that I decided I wanted to work with children, so I applied for a Master's degree in Developmental and Child Clinical Sciences, where I am now a first year student. Teaching is a source of great joy for me, I love to see the exciting unfolding of our afternoons and how each person, large and small (as we call children and adults amongst ourselves :)), takes their comfortable place and role in the group for that day.

  • Communication

I have been an intern at the Experience Warehouse since March 2024. Outside the classroom I work for an IT company and do my psychology studies by correspondence. When I'm not working, studying or teaching, I like to spend time with my friends and family, cooking, chatting, playing chess. After the end of my internship, I will be joining the communications team, where we are committed to continue working on increasing the visibility of the school, promoting the organisation and building and nurturing our corporate relationships. What I love most about our work is knowing that what we do makes sense. All of our plans and goals are focused on the children's interests, learning and development and it's great to see that not only we, but people, care about that. Our work is fluid, creative and varied, and the feedback we get makes it crystal clear that the time and energy we invest really does make a difference.

I'm Vali, I love books, poetry, Harry Potter, tea, candles and rain. Since March, I have been part of the Experience Co-op and I am currently a mentor. It is so inspiring to be part of such a team. I wish I had experienced sooner that working together can be like that. We shape each other, learn from each other and have mutual respect and trust. It is comforting to know that there are still people out there who truly care about the safety and well-being of children. Unfortunately, I have not experienced this before. All my work in my life has been related to children. I regularly organise and run activities for them, whether it's group play, creative arts and crafts or paper theatre performances, I'm open to anything. For the last 10 years I have been working with disadvantaged children, children with SNI, autism and children with moderate intellectual disabilities. During my professional career I have gained a lot of new experiences and new experiences. I have seen life paths that I would not have had the opportunity to see in other areas of my life. It was this experience that made me feel that I wanted to help in whatever way I could. Here, I am free to express my views and even get partners. Teaching is a really safe environment as a child and as an adult.

I am a Romologist and drama teacher. I was one of the founding members of the Experience House and I am very happy to be part of a real team, running this great place with my partners. I love the fact that we find directions together and make decisions together. It feels great to make a place that is really for the children and that we ourselves shape it. I love that the Experience Warehouse is a real community with the kids, that we laugh together, sometimes cry together, grow together, enjoy each other. It's a good feeling when teenage children come back to us for help. Then we know that our message has reached its target.
