Successful and well-balanced
At Élmény Tár, we consider community involvement to be particularly important, and we believe that developing social skills helps every child to grow into a successful and well-adjusted adult.
We consider the ability to cooperate to be the most important social skill, one that spans several areas.
Why is this important?
- - helps people to integrate into communities,
- - belonging to a community boosts self-confidence and gives a sense of achievement,
- - the community itself has a sustaining and supportive power,
- - Cooperating with others and adapting to them also helps you get by in the world of work.
It is typically not academic progress or academic results that determine how successfully a person is able to find their way and get on in life as an adult, but rather their ability to adapt to new situations and to work as part of a team.
Creativity and problem-solving skills are also important areas that can be developed, even if only willingness to cooperate.
Other sub-areas that contribute to the development of the main area: communication, active listening and tolerance.
Whilst developing these specific areas, we use tools that also develop cognitive skills such as reading comprehension, maths and logic, digital skills and foreign languages.
We develop these skills in our day-to-day work, through interactive sessions that focus on individuals, small groups and larger groups. In addition, we organise learning projects on key topics (primarily relating to human rights).
