Stability, predictability and security are of paramount importance in every child's life. At the Experience Warehouse, we have created a community space that children who come to us feel a sense of belonging and security. This is often a challenge, as the small community often has difficulty accepting new members, and the children feel that it is their own space that they don't want to give away. Those of us who work with the children (mentors, volunteers) like the family environment, the togetherness and the fact that the children feel that the Experience House is their own. However, we think it is important that the children who come to us open up to the world, while understanding their reasons for turning inward and wanting to keep their own safe little world for themselves. We want to support them in discovering that the world is a wonderful place with endless possibilities and that forming friendships and relationships is valuable and rewarding.

That is why we think it is very important to help our children not only within the framework of the Experience Centre, but also to create opportunities for them to go out as often as possible, to experience outdoor leisure activities and experiences.
